It depends on how tight the deadline is. If you want a job delivered for 10am
– no later, book it the day before and take advice from the telephonist
on what time it needs to be ready. If the item just needs to get there that
day, book it when it’s ready, or almost ready. There are peak times
when delays will be higher, again ask the telephonist if there are any delays.
Do I need to fill in any forms?
For sameday couriers, no. The courier completes a worksheet which details
where he collected from, where he delivered to and who signed for the package.
Overnight parcels are handled differently and you may need to fill in a consignment
note. Your collection driver can assist you with this if you are unsure.
How will I know if my parcel has been delivered?
If you need to know as soon as the parcel has been delivered, request a POD
(Proof of Delivery) on drop. There may be a small charge for this, but you
will be informed when your parcel has been delivered and who signed for it.
Can I book on the internet?
Yes, Capital Cargo has a web booking system, which is quick and easy to use.
As soon as you submit an enquiry, it appears in the control centre ready for
despatch.
